LOVE AND DEATH IN THE 1956 REVOLUTION

The 1956 Revolution is usually called "an uprising of men". However, historian Eszter Zsófia Tóth presents a new viewpoint: how did women participate in the events? What did it mean for upper class girls, university students, or workers? What was the 1956 women's demonstration like? How did revolutionary commander János Bárány and Klára Hajnal fall in love with each other?

Please note that the lecture is in Hungarian.
