Coming soon: Fekete Lyuk exhibition

2018.10.03.

The new exhibition of the Kiscell Museum will be on view from 18 December 2018.

This unique exhibition presents the history of the iconic Fekete Lyuk club, an unforgettable venue of the alternative scene of Budapest. From the end of the 1980s, Fekete Lyuk (the name literally meaning Black Hole) functioned as a community space and an incubator for the underground art scene of Budapest as well as punk music, becoming an important career milestone for a number of artists and bands. Located in Outer Józsefváros in Golgota Street (a district of Budapest known for its high crime rate for quite some time), Fekete Lyuk was the central and most influential venue of avant-garde and alternative culture for a generation - the exhibition reflects on this extraordinary legacy.
