The Budapest Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, So Far, So Good, which examines our everyday anxieties, the compulsion to be productive, burnout from overwork, and our reactions to all three, will open after a delay of almost three months.

The Kiscell Museum and the Municipal Gallery are open again from 3 July 2020.

Featuring a selection of valuable items from our collections and exhibitions, the Budapest History Museum is presenting a poster exhibition, entitled 'Treasures of Budapest' at the stations of metro line M1 from 24 June.

The Aquincum Museum’s exhibition venues are re-opening to the public on Saturday, 20 June 2020. We are cancelling time-slots for visits and you can also buy your tickets at the cashier’s desk. On 23 June, we’re returning to our usual summer opening hours and ticket prices.

From Saturday 23 May 2020, the Archaeological Park, the Baths Museum, and the Hercules Villa will re-open to visitors!

A solidarity campaign by artist Sándor Márkus, entitled "Out of Order", is starting on 28 April 2020. The installation visualizes an expectant standpoint that we have all experienced at certain points of our lives - for example, during the current pandemic situation. The Budapest History Museum is joining the campaign.

We would like to inform you that the member institutions of the Budapest History Museum are closed from 17 March 2020 until further notice due to the coronavirus situation.

As part of the public health prevention measures linked to Covid-19, the member insitutions of the Budapest History Museum are cancelling all of their programs for March.

On 15 March, a number of exciting temporary exhibitions are closing in our museums. The Kiscell Museum - Municipal Gallery awaits visitors with 'Shine - Fashion and Glamour' as well as the solo exhibitions of Vera Molnar and Ottó Vincze, while the Castle Museum's exhibition, 'Mainly Medieval' presents a selection of recent archaeological finds. The Budapest Gallery has two photo exhibitions on view until Sunday. Don't miss them!
