Temporary exhibitions closing on 15 March

On 15 March, a number of exciting temporary exhibitions are closing in our museums. The Kiscell Museum - Municipal Gallery awaits visitors with 'Shine - Fashion and Glamour' as well as the solo exhibitions of Vera Molnar and Ottó Vincze, while the Castle Museum's exhibition, 'Mainly Medieval' presents a selection of recent archaeological finds. The Budapest Gallery has two photo exhibitions on view until Sunday. Don't miss them!

Lend your your Giro d'Italia memorabilia to our exhibition!

To celebrate the "grande partenza" of the Giro d'Italia 2020 in Budapest, the Budapest History Museum is organizing a large-scale temporary exhibition on the history of Giro and Hungarian road cycling. The museum is asking cycling enthusiasts to loan memorabilia related to the Giro or the Tour de Hongrie for the upcoming exhibition, as well as sharing their personal stories about either of the competitions.

Conference and workshop in the Castle Museum

Although the Castle Museum of the Budapest History Museum is closed to visitors due to reconstruction works in the former royal palace, the museum hosted a professional event this Monday. The Museum Education and Methodology Center of the Hungarian Open Air Museum (MOKK) has held its third annual conference and workshop, entitled 'The name of our craft: museum' on 27 January in our Baroque Hall.

The fashion history exhibition of the Kiscell Museum, 'Shine! - Fashion and Glamour' has reopened after a brief temporary closure. The exhibition catalogue launches on 22 January 2020.
