Due to the construction works of the Saint Stephen's Hall in the Palace, the Castle Museum of the Budapest History Museum is closed from 25 to 28 February 2020.
On 18 February 2020, the Organ Room will be closed.
To celebrate the "grande partenza" of the Giro d'Italia 2020 in Budapest, the Budapest History Museum is organizing a large-scale temporary exhibition on the history of Giro and Hungarian road cycling. The museum is asking cycling enthusiasts to loan memorabilia related to the Giro or the Tour de Hongrie for the upcoming exhibition, as well as sharing their personal stories about either of the competitions.
Although the Castle Museum of the Budapest History Museum is closed to visitors due to reconstruction works in the former royal palace, the museum hosted a professional event this Monday. The Museum Education and Methodology Center of the Hungarian Open Air Museum (MOKK) has held its third annual conference and workshop, entitled 'The name of our craft: museum' on 27 January in our Baroque Hall.
