Research services

As part of the easing of pandemic restrictions, the Budapest History Museum's Archaeological Archives, and the Archaeological Collection of the Aquincum Museum are again welcoming researchers. The archaeology collections of the Castle Museum as well as the research services of the Kiscell Museum and the Budapest Gallery are closed for the time being.

The research service is only open to persons with a card-based Immunity Certificate. The wearing of a face mask covering the mouth and nose is compulsory in all member institutions. In all cases, making an appointment prior to your visit is required.
