“Distaff, hairpin, pan”, or what a Roman girl had to learn to become a good wife and mother.

We invite to our camp at the Aquincum Museum all girls aged 10-14 who want to explore the ancient way of spinning and weaving, discover what plants the Romans used to die wool, and what fragrances did Roman women wear. Participants can learn the craft of weaving and natural dyes and discover the daily lives of Roman girls and young women.

Please note that the program is in Hungarian.

Date: 21-25 June 2021 from 10am to 4pm every day
Place: Aquincum Museum ( (1031 Budapest, Szentendrei út 135.)
Participation fee: 29,000 HUF per children
